A Michigan woman's otherworldly pics of hundreds of ice boulders that washed ashore in northern Michigan caused a stir online and in the local media. It happens when the degree of water is below -1.'I thought it was the coolest thing ever especially since I've never seen anything like it,' Olmsted told local TV news.

"I have a small English bulldog and they were as tall as her. They were pretty massive."
Olmsted posted some snaps of the boulders on Facebook, and Michigan media quickly picked up on the story.
