Hyper Realistic Pencil Painting

“How did she do that?” must’ve been one of the most frequent questions after seeing Karla Mialynne’s works. In order to clear the doubts, the artist now photographs all of the tools she used right next to her paintings. You can see that Karla mostly uses watercolor pencils, colored markers and acrylic paint to create her highly                                                                                 realistic drawings.

Oil Painting or Photo?

Joongwon (Charles) Jeong is a hyperrealist painter from South Korea. A freelance artist and illustrator, Jeong studied Visual Communication Design at the Hongik University of Fine Art & Design in Seoul.

Jeong’s preferred medium is acrylic on canvas which he says is so versatile and its effect ranges from “thick, oil-like texture to watercolour splashes.”

Aristotle once said,

'A corpse is repulsive, but the painting of a corpse can be beautiful.'

And I say,

'A pimple is repulsive, but the painting of a pimple can be beautiful.'
